Does anyone have some ideas or pictures of the best way to set and retrieve a layout boat from a TDB type boat? I have seen ramps off the bow of a jon boat that looked slick but I don’t think it would work off the front of a TDB style.

Jd a Tdb is the Total Duck boat build by the tdbco.com they are now based in Ky I believe and make some kick azz duck boats. Very very nice but they do have really high sides and can be a pain with layouts.

odha, Most guys I know just throw them onto the gunnels and go with it just like using a mod v jon boat. Sorry no pics to help We dont run tdb's We use deep V starcrafts.

sorry about that JD. I do work with the army and air force so acronyms are part of my speach now. I still have trouble with all the texting acronyms.

Tony, thanks. The only place I have hunted out of a layout is on Mitchells Bay. It is a little differnt there as it is not deep water so handling the layout was easy. I'm not sure how I would get the layout back on my boat.

Simply lift it over the gunwales. Not to difficult to do. If you can mount some 2" pvc to the gunnels or even the side they provide a very slick surface to drag the boat in the tneder.
