When your building the apron for you lake erie layout boat, do you tape and epoxy both sides of the joint or just one?. If you epoxy both sides, how do you go about doing them at the same time? Do you tape and epoxy 1 side then let it dry and turn it over and do the back side? I'm new to boat building and have some questions in reguard to the instructions I received in my plans.

1 side is all that is needed. If you reread the directions it will state to make sure the tape is equal on both sides of the joint. Meaning where the 2 pieces of wood join in the middle. Hope that helps.

Thanks for asking and Welcome.
